State Champions: Ravens Speech & Debate!
Ravens Speech & Debate secured a first-place sweepstakes finish, making them the overall 3A State Champions! In total, they had an amazing 24 medalists and each of our state qualifiers was a finalist in at least one of their events. Of the individual events, the Ravens boast seven state champions! Varsity Raven Girls Tennis clinched the win at the Henryetta Tournament on Thursday!
#1 Doubles team of Katie Smith and Sophia Diaz finished 4th
#2 Doubles team of Nicya Moore and Cyra Walker finished 2nd
#1 Singles Lily Clark finished 1st
#2 Singles Zoe Jackson finished 1st and won the final match!
Varsity Boys took home their fair share of medals from the Henryetta Tournament, too!

Student Spotlight: Thunder Fellows
Two RCDS seniors, Charlie Jones and Cat Connolly, have completed the OKC Thunder Fellows program as part of the 2024-25 cohort. Last week, each fellow presented their capstone project which they designed throughout the 30-week program. Congratulations to both of our seniors and to Charlie for winning the Google Innovation Award for his capstone project!
Call for Nominations: RFA Officer Positions
Nominate yourself or another stellar RCDS parent who would be great serving on the Riverfield Family Association Board! RFA: Available positions are President, Vice President, Treasurer, Recording Officer, and Fundraising Chair. There are opportunities to lead in other roles as well! Riverfield Film Lab presents End of Year Showcase at Circle Cinema!
Sunday, May 4 | Circle Cinema | Doors open at 2pm, films start at 2:15pm | Tickets are $5 for film students and $20 for general admission
The End of Year Showcase features the incredible talent of Riverfield Upper School students who have scripted, filmed, edited, and produced their own short films. This film showcase celebrates creativity, innovation, and storytelling, providing a platform for young filmmakers to share their unique perspectives. Enjoy heartfelt dramas, action-packed adventures, and exciting comedies as we support these rising stars as they bring their passion and vision to the big screen! The Middle School students Showcase will be held at Spring Expo, Friday, May 2.
