Fundraising Fills the Gap between Tuition and Operating Expenses

Tuition covers many of the costs of running and maintaining our 120-acre campus. However, there are many additional expenses that we rely on fundraising, especially the annual Raven Fund, to cover, bridging the gap between money raised by tuition and the annual budget. With the completion of our new building will come increased operational expenses. We are so grateful for all our supporters whose generosity fills the gap.

Online: Credit and Debit Cards
Riverfield accepts American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa. Gifts to the Raven Fund and Capital projects can be set up on a recurring basis or as a one-time gift. 
Check
Make checks payable to Riverfield Country Day School with a notation of the gift’s purpose, ie. The Raven Fund, Capital, etc.
Gifts of Property or Securities
Gifts of this nature are an alternative to cash gifts. Donors avoid capital gains tax on the increased value and receive a deduction for the full market value on the date of the contribution. Please consult your accountant regarding the impact on your taxes and contact Director of Giving Clint Rataczak.

Make your pledge online, either by a single gift or through recurring payments.
 Gifts through Purchases
Support Riverfield through purchases with partners including BoxTops for Education, Mabel’s Labels, Casey’s Cash for Classrooms, as well as through monthly Dine & Donate events.
 Gifts in Kind
Gifts of goods and services that support our programs and facilities are always welcome. Tax deductions are possible to the extent allowable by law.
Birthdays, Tributes, and Memorials
Another way to give is with special gifts celebrating birthdays and anniversaries; paying tribute to special friends, teachers, and family; and honoring the memory of friends, teachers or family. Birthday messages on the entrance signs can be purchased for $40 by emailing [email protected]. 
Planned Giving: Gifts of Life Insurance, Trusts and Bequests 
These gifts can have a significant impact on the future of Riverfield and are always welcome. We would be happy to discuss the benefits of these gifts including eligibility in the Martha S. Support Financial Aid

The Raven Fund raises money to go directly toward operational needs for the current school year, providing immediate budgetary relief. Tuition covers most but not all operational expenses. Raven Fund donations are separate from RFA fundraising projects like the Run for Riverfield and Sapphire Celebration.

The iNSPiRED Campaign, our most recent capital campaign, raised funds for the new Center for Creativity and Clark Gymnasium expansion. Both projects began being fully utilized in the 2023-24 school year. There are capital projects for campus improvement each year. The Riverfield Family Association supports the school by hosting the Run for Riverfield and Sapphire Celebration. Funds raised through these events are distributed in the following school year and is divided between special projects like transportation and roads, Financial Aid, and the Operating Fund.
