At Riverfield Country Day School, inclusive practices have been and continue to be an important area of focus and effort—for students, faculty, staff, and parents alike.

Non-Discriminatory Statement

Riverfield Country Day School is a non-profit, independent school with no religious affiliation. Riverfield is a welcoming community that strives to treat everyone fairly. All decisions regarding admissions, employment, administration, and student and faculty life are made without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, ethnicity, age, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital or family status, or any other criteria prohibited by law. All rights, privileges, educational, athletic, school-administrated programs, and activities made available by the school are extended to all students, families, faculty, and staff.

An Alliance focused on our commitment to our non-discriminatory practices came together in 2021 at the direction of the Board of Trustees. The Alliance strives to inform and empower all of the RCDS community including faculty and staff, parents and students, as well as alumni, and alumni parents. The Alliance consists of three working groups: Policy and Procedures, Classroom Resources, and Training for Adults. Through the Alliance, members of the RCDS faculty and community have completed training on racial issues, gender identity, and education equity.

The foundation of the Alliance is with institutional and structural support from the Board of Trustees.  Riverfield students, along with School Counselors, are engaged in Riverfield's practices of inclusion and are supported in providing ground-level support to student concerns.
