Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
In service for others
At Riverfield, class is in session on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, giving students an opportunity to build character and be the light. Upper School students conduct a day of service, while our younger Ravens learn about Dr. King's teachings and participate in character building and service related projects and activities at Iron Gate, Youth Services of Tulsa, Day Center for the Homeless, and Animal Aid of Tulsa. It's a great day to be a Raven and to make the world a better place! Thank you, Dr. King.
Through art
Inspired by the holiday, Art Teacher Greg DeVerges invited students who were on campus to choose a word that embodies King's legacy and represent it through artistic expression. Be on the look out for them, soon!
